QR menu software alternatives sorted by what you need
QR menu software alternatives fall into four groups: menus that take orders and payment at the table, simple free menus, a menu that answers your customers' questions, and POS systems with a menu built in. This page sorts six tools into those groups, with each one's published starting price. We make tamr, one of the six.
FineDine is a restaurant platform. Its pricing page lists three plans, Starter, Growth and Premium, and each one covers a QR and tablet menu, ordering and payment at the table, reservations, a website builder and a guest CRM. When FineDine is the better choice
Choose FineDine, or stay with it, if you want customers to order and pay at the table, take reservations and run your restaurant website from one account. Its plans list all of those. tamr has no ordering with checkout, and it is not a reservations tool or a website builder.
When tamr is the one to look at
Look at tamr if the part you care about is the conversation before the order: the questions about dishes, allergens and pairings, in whatever language your customers write, and a record of what they asked.
Start from the job you need done. Most restaurants looking at QR menu software need one of four things: ordering and payment at the table, a simple free menu, answers to customer questions, or a menu that comes from the POS.
Ordering and payment at the table
You want customers to order and pay from their phone, with no server taking the order. FineDine, MENU TIGER and qlub all list ordering with payment. tamr is not on this list: on tamr, your server takes the order.

Answers to customer questions, and what they ask
Your servers answer the same questions about dishes, allergens and what goes with what, and you want to know what customers ask. This is what tamr is built for. The AI waiter answers from your menu, and your dashboard shows the questions.

A POS-first setup
You want the menu and the bill to come from the system that runs your till. Foodics lists a QR digital menu and pay at the table in its Dine In bundle. MENU TIGER and qlub list POS integrations. tamr imports your menu from seven POS systems and leaves the bill on the POS.

Each card says what the product is, who it suits and what its own website says it costs to start. Four are QR menu tools, one is a point of sale and one is a payment product. tamr is first because it is ours. The order is not a ranking.

What are the alternatives to a standard QR menu builder?
QR menu software alternatives fall into four groups: menus that take orders and payment at the table, such as FineDine, MENU TIGER and qlub; simple free menus, such as Menubly; a menu that answers customers' questions, which is what tamr is; and POS systems with a menu built in, such as Foodics.
Which QR menu tools have a free plan?
On their public pricing pages in October 2026, Menubly lists a Free plan and MENU TIGER lists Freemium, for 1 store and 10 table QR codes. tamr's menu and AI waiter are free at every location, with no card, and Pro is $100 per location a month. FineDine lists paid plans from $29 a month billed yearly.
Which QR menu tools take payment at the table?
FineDine, MENU TIGER and qlub all list ordering with payment from the customer's phone, and Menubly lists online ordering with payment. Foodics lists pay at the table as part of its point of sale. On tamr, the table builds one order together and shows it to your server, who takes it as today.
What is the difference between this page and a head-to-head?
This page lists several tools by what each is built for, with its published starting price. A head-to-head puts tamr beside one product only. Start here while you are choosing a type of tool, and read a head-to-head when you are down to two.
Why does tamr publish pages about other companies' products?
Because owners search for them, and a plain list saves you an afternoon of reading pricing pages. We make tamr, so we say so on every page, we only state what each company publishes about itself, and we say when another tool is the better choice for what you need.
How current is the information on this page?
We checked every price, plan name and limit on each company's own public website in October 2026. Prices change, so confirm on their pricing page before you decide. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
Upload your menu as a PDF, a photo or a link. The menu and the AI waiter are free, with no card, so you can compare it with what you use today.
