Chat cards and specials

The chat cards in three groups, and creating, scheduling, and pausing specials.

The Cards & specials tab controls the interactive moments the waiter can show inside a chat, and the specials it leads with. Beyond text, the waiter can show a dish card with a photo and price, a swipeable row of picks, a side-by-side comparison, and more.

Each card has a toggle and an inline preview, and a counter shows how many are on. New cards ship on by default.

Recommendations

How the waiter surfaces dishes. The richer the card, the more confident the customer.

  • Single dish card, a rich card for one recommended dish.
  • Dish carousel, a swipeable row of two to five picks.
  • Tonight's special, surfaces the specials you curate below.
  • Pairing suggestion, one complementary pick after a main is chosen.
  • Dish comparison, two dishes side by side on one aspect.
  • Taste Match, a quick, scored picker for the undecided.

Customer safety and info

What the waiter shows for an allergy, a dietary need, or a logistics question.

  • Allergen-safe picks, a filtered card after a customer flags an allergy.
  • Dietary filter chips, vegan, gluten-free, and more, as tappable filters.
  • Branch info card, hours, parking, and wifi answered as a small card.

Quick taps and service

Shortcuts and side effects.

  • Quick-reply chips, when a customer has to choose.
  • Save dish for later, lets a customer bookmark a dish.
  • Remember dietary preference, keeps a vegan or halal note for next time.
  • Routine service requests, water or the check, routed to your floor.
Leave most of them on

The cards are what make the chat feel like a real member of the floor staff rather than a text box. Turn one off only if it does not fit your service.

Run a special

A special pins a dish so the waiter leads with it. Specials also feed the Today's special section on your menu.

  1. 1
    Write a headline

A short headline, like "Tonight only: chef's confit duck." Add an optional blurb.

  2. 2
    Point it at a dish

Choose the menu and the dish the special is about.

  3. 3
    Scope and schedule it

Set it for all branches or one branch, and set a start and end time. Leave the start blank to begin now, and the end blank for open-ended.

  4. 4
    Run or pause it

Use the active toggle to run or pause a special without losing the headline.

Each special row shows its window, so you always know what is live: Running, a date range, or Paused.
