Quick start
The five steps to get your restaurant live, in order.
This is the fastest honest path from a new account to a working QR code your customers can scan. You can skip any step and come back to it later from your dashboard.
- 1Create your restaurant
Sign up with your email, confirm the code we send you, and set a password. Then name your restaurant. This creates your workspace. See signing up and logging in →.
- 2Add your first location
Give your branch a name, address, and timezone. The timezone matters: it decides where your reporting day starts and ends. One location is enough to go live. More on locations →.
- 3Bring your menu in
Upload a PDF, drop in photos of your menu, paste a link to it, or start blank and type. tamr reads it and builds structured dishes with prices, descriptions, and categories you can edit. See importing a menu →.
- 4Choose your waiter's voice
Pick a tone (warm, formal, or playful), set a greeting, and let the waiter learn from your menu. You can refine how it answers any time. See creating a waiter →.
- 5Publish and print your QR
Publish the menu, attach the waiter, and download your QR code from the Share tab. Put it on the table. That is live. See publishing and your QR code →.
What "live" looks like
Once you publish, your dashboard home shows a setup progress ring and, as customers start scanning, an on-the-floor view of what is happening in near real time.

A menu with a few dishes and a default waiter is enough to start learning from real questions. Publish early, then improve based on what customers actually ask. That is the whole point of tamr.
